Do You Make These Website Style Blunders?

If you study web design you will discover there are very many nuances that all serve the same cause. The purpose of this article is to show you some of the common web design mistakes that people tend to make.

There should never be any guesswork involved when it comes to grasping the intention of your site. It seems readily apparent based on all the sites we have seen that IM marketers perhaps do not consider that at all. Basically any type of negative feeling caused by a site will not bode well for that visitor sticking around. Also, the content of your site must be scannable and easy to read. One of the worst design mistakes is to put large chunks of content on your site that look like unreadable blocks. What you need to do is format the text, and one simple way is to add more line breaks so you have more white space. Do stay far away from using your favorite kind of font that you just love because it looks so cool - it is about your readers and not you. Your visitors will not have a good experience on your site if they have a hard time reading and understanding it.

If you ever get the idea that playing any kind of music on your site would be a cool thing, then we ask that you reconsider. What used to happen is it would start playing automatically and sometimes pretty loud, too - awful. If you really do want to play any type of audio file, whether it's music or just a two minute intro speech from you, then let the user start it. A short, one minute audio is not so uncommon, however we strongly feel that the visitor should always retain ultimate control. Have the audio's play and pause button clearly visible in your page so that you don't end up annoying the user. There has to be a balance in everything that you do with your website's design and the audio isn't anything different.

When people browse around the Internet searching for information, they want to get it right there and then, which is why the whole concept of 'requiring registration' doesn't go well with many. This is something that very many people will not want to do, and they do not like so proceed at your own risk. In addition to this, don't automatically subscribe your visitor to something without asking his/her consent. If they subscribe to your newsletter then that's what you need to limit yourself to and not subscribe them to some other list. Naturally, never contact people if they have not opted-in to your newsletter, etc.

It would be a shame if you drove away people with lots of spelling mistakes, so once your sites' design is where it needs to be then check everything else. Go ahead and commence applying these suggestions to your SENuke internet site and see the results for oneself.
